🇬🇧 Project: Self-esteem and self-image

Self-esteem and self-image are very important topics in the current scenario. Since my art mainly revolves around themes related to personal development and self-esteem and self-image are part of this, this is a text to talk about my next project, which has self-esteem and self-image as its central themes.

I am Nycka Nunes, a visual artist, and in this blog I talk about my work and everything that inspires me.

My next project, which I want to exhibit in museums in several countries and sell to clients all over the world, has photography as its main tool and self-esteem and self-image as its central themes.

The project aims to propose reflections for each person to take care of their own self-esteem and personal image while respecting their own beauty, at a time when valuing one's own beauty has become increasingly rare.

The trend of celebrities seeking to return to a natural beauty is quite recent and this may be a sign of greater awareness about what SELF-esteem is.

There are several ways to contribute to the project.

Individuals can contribute through monetary donations of any amount.

Companies and self-employed professionals can contribute through donations or sponsorships, with amounts starting at US$5,000*.

People who donate more than five thousand dollars to this project by January 15, 2025 will be entitled to a discount on the purchase of images of the project, once completed, equivalent to 60% of the amount donated. The discount is valid for purchases directly from me when the normal value (without discount) of the purchase is equivalent to at least double the amount donated. This benefit is only valid for donations and not for sponsorships.

The more contributions from individuals and companies, the further the project will go, being shown in more places around the world and offering more visibility to the sponsoring brands.

If your company values ​​the mental health of its employees or works in areas related to beauty and/or health, sponsoring this project is a wise choice to reinforce the brand's commitments. Companies committed to sustainability also have similar benefits. Other business profiles that could benefit from sponsoring my work for various reasons (such as hotels, fashion brands, tourism-related companies, restaurants, gyms, schools, universities, among others) could also contribute and have positive effects on the brand's image.

I haven't decided on the name of the project yet. It has a provisional name, but I can't reveal it before the project is ready because it says a lot about what I have in mind in terms of how to carry it out. I’ll start photographing the project in February 2025.

🇬🇧 Artistic project: Inner balance

Project name: Inner balance

Artist: Nycka Nunes (Vanessa Nunes)


Project description:

This is a series of images about inner balance, self-knowledge and personal development. It uses photography as the main tool and digital art (painting and drawing) as a complement to share a little of my vision and experience on how to find inner balance, overcome internal issues and limitations and have a life richer in positive experiences. A series of beautiful and inspiring images for those who want to relax and reconnect with the best of themselves. No motivational phrases or other cliché references are included in this project. The interpretation is up to each person who sees the images.

The promotion includes videos about trips that will be made to capture images of beautiful landscapes of the exuberant Brazilian nature. The photos taken at the chosen destinations will be the starting point of the project, which will have other elements to represent the proposed themes. The videos, especially the video of the finished project, will also be shared on my profiles on other social networks, in teasers on Instagram and TikTok, and may also be shared through public relations and advertising campaigns on channels of interest to my target audience.


Objective: To convey, through images, ineffable experiences of reconnecting with oneself.


Sponsorship:

  1. Gold sponsorship: Inclusion of the sponsoring brand in 7 videos about the trips, a video with the finished project and a post or video promoting the physical exhibition of the project (after the launch), all on YouTube. The brand appears in the opening credits of the videos. Investment: R$315,000 for companies with offices in Brazil paying in Brazilian currency or 68,000 US dollars for foreign companies (3 spots available on September 1, 2024).
  2. Silver sponsorship: Inclusion of the sponsoring brand in 7 posts about the trips and a post with the finished project on YouTube. The brand appears in the closing credits of the videos. Investment: R$224,000 for companies with offices in Brazil paying in Brazilian currency or 48,000 US dollars for foreign companies (12 spots available on September 1, 2024).
  3. Bronze sponsorship: Insertion of the sponsoring brand at the end of the finished project video, after the silver sponsorship brands. Investment: 45,000 reais for companies with offices in Brazil paying in Brazilian currency or 10,000 US dollars for foreign companies. (15 spots available on September 1, 2024).


All insertions are permanent.

The order of appearance is according to the order in which the full amount of the desired sponsorship is paid.

All bronze sponsorships can migrate to silver sponsorship within the fundraising period by paying the difference in value. If the end of the fundraising period is brought forward, the brands that have already paid for the bronze sponsorship will be notified and will have ten business days to migrate to silver sponsorship if they wish or they will be maintained as bronze sponsors.

Silver and Gold sponsors may ship products for use on the trip. Subject to my approval. Shipping costs, import taxes, and related costs are the responsibility of the sponsor. Products will not be returned.


Pre-sale:

Individuals, maecenas and collectors interested in contributing can participate in the exclusive pre-sale of the project's images, contributing twelve thousand reais (if payment is made through Brazilian banks) or three thousand dollars for foreign clients for each image (approximate size of 29 x 42cm). Shipping costs will be charged separately after the project is ready. Taxes and fees for shipping to other countries are the responsibility of the buyer. The pre-sale offers 200 images in total, and each final image will have a maximum of ten copies available. The order of priority in choosing the images is the order in which pre-sale payments are finalised. Whoever pays first chooses first.


Fundraising period: until December 20, 2024, and may be brought forward if all sponsorships are closed beforehand.

Execution: from January 6, 2025, and may be brought forward.


Launch (final images ready for sale - last video): scheduled for the first week of April 2025, but may be brought forward if the project is implemented early.


I currently have over sixteen thousand unique followers on social media and an engagement rate of over ten percent during periods of consistent generation of relevant content.

About the project "As muitas nuances do amor" (The many nuances of love):


The project aims to create a series of artistic photographs linked to reflections on love. Without clichés, without images of couples or other common references. The deadline for its execution is from November 2024 to March 2025.

The main objective of this project is to create a series of artistic photographs created from reflections on love.

Specific objective: create a series of 52 photographic images.

Within this proposal, the project will be disseminated through permanent publications on my YouTube, Tiktok and Instagram profiles, shared on my profiles on other social networks, advertised in the media through public relations and advertising.

The project covers topics such as gender equality and respect for diversity, among others, when talking about the many nuances of love.

Profile:

I am a visual artist, with a degree in advertising. I work with photography, painting on canvas, drawing, digital painting and digital drawing.

My interest in art began since childhood, but my family did not encourage it. It has been reinforced through my work as a stylist, emphasising personal image as a non-verbal communication tool. Art is also a tool of non-verbal communication. From that moment on, it was inevitable that I would pay more attention to art. I left my hometown looking mainly to expand my cultural and artistic repertoire. I've lived in four different cities so far.

Portuguese is my mother tongue. I also speak fluent English and Italian and basic Spanish.


Professional goals:

I want to improve myself as an artist and create more art using photography as my main tool, experimenting with how to use photography in ways that move away from realism and are more symbolic than literal.


Professional experience:

    • Visual artist/photographer, self-employed; Curitiba/Brazil • 2021-Ongoing. Visual artist who works with drawing, digital painting, painting on canvas, digital drawing and photography, with the ability to create other types of visual art. Development of artistic photography projects.
    • Stylist, self-employed, several cities • from 1994 to 2024. Consulting in personal style, fashion, fashion product development, fashion design and personal shopping. Styling for photo shoots done by me.


Volunteer work experience:

    • Volunteer photographer, BSGI, Curitiba/Brazil • 2011-2015. I worked as a volunteer photographer photographing BSGI events in Curitiba. This experience was helpful in improving my skills in using DSLR cameras, sometimes in challenging environments with horrible lighting, and I think I succeeded. No one ever complained about looking bad in the photos I took and most people were happy to see me at events and asked me to photograph them.
    • Photographer in training, self-employed, Various cities • 2011-2011. I photographed a show by the Swedish band Evergrey in Curitiba and fashion events in Brazil (Fashion Rio, SPFW and Dragão Fashion).


Education:

    • Degree in Advertising, Centro Universitário do Triângulo, Uberlândia - MG – Completed in July 2002 and taken from August 98 to July 2002).
    • Incomplete Degree in Business Administration, Unimontes (Universidade Estadual de Montes Claros), Montes Claros/MG - March/96 to July/98 (the complete course lasts 5 years).
    • MBA 1st management in marketing, ESPM (Escola Superior de Propaganda e Marketing), Porto Alegre - RS, from March 2004 to July/2005.

The first, titled “Coffee eye”, was my first work. I mixed digital drawing and photography. I finished it in February 2021. The next one, “Orchestra 1”, also mixes digital art and photography. It was completed in February 2023. None of them had a concept behind them. They were exercises in creativity. In the upper right corner is “People,” a work on diversity completed in June 2023, about people who know themselves deeply while others have less self-knowledge. Then, at the bottom left, is “The city,” which is about diversity in a broader perspective, including life in society, completed a few days later. The last image is “The light within”, which speaks of inner wisdom. Completed in November 2023. “The Many Shades of Love” wants to have a purpose like the last 3 images, and have photography as a main source like I have never done before (photographing events is very different from what I have in mind).

About the maecenasship:

For every eighteen thousand reais (Approximately three thousand and three hundred american dollars) donated by the same person or company, if the project reaches 100% of the feasibility goal (minimum cost) before September 15, the promoter (donor) will be entitled to a physical copy of one of the project images in a size defined by me. Packaging and shipping costs are the responsibility of the donor and must be paid separately. Each image will be limited to five physical copies. Whoever contributes first within this limit has the right to choose first and will have one business day to choose. After this period, priority is lost and the order of whoever chose first is applied. This benefit does not depend on whether the sponsor is a natural or legal person.

Benefits offered may be changed or eliminated at any time prior to the start of the project and will only be maintained for donors who have made their financial contribution prior to the change. The updated version is in this post, but I will try to keep all versions (languages) up to date.

Sponsorship information:

"Present" category:

This category is the first to appear in the virtual exhibition presentation. It can include up to four brands, and may also include the brand of the Brazilian Ministry of Culture. The order of appearance of the brands - except the brand of the Brazilian Ministry of Culture - will follow the order of payment of the sponsorship fee.

There will be 4 launch videos where the only relevant difference will be the language (one in English, one in Portuguese, one in Italian and one in Spanish), with all sponsoring brands appearing in all videos. 

Investment: one hundred and fifty thousand reais for companies based in Brazil or twenty-nine thousand US dollars for companies based in other countries.

"Sponsorship" category:

This category appears right after the "Present" category and the name of the exhibition, and can have up to 12 brands. The order in which brands appear will follow the order in which the sponsorship fee is paid.

Investment: one hundred thousand reais for companies based in Brazil or nineteen thousand US dollars for companies based in other countries.

"Support" category:

This category appears at the end of the virtual exhibition presentation and accepts up to thirty sponsors. The order in which brands appear will follow the order in which the sponsorship fee is paid.

Investment: eighty-five thousand reais for companies based in Brazil or sixteen thousand US dollars for companies based in other countries.


In addition to the launch videos published on YouTube, Tiktok and Instagram, the names of the sponsors of the three categories will be listed in the exhibition launch text on this blog (same text published in 4 languages ​​as 4 different publications). The exhibition will also be promoted on my other social media profiles and through advertising and public relations strategies according to the total amount raised. The categories "Sponsor" and "Support" will only be included in the YouTube videos, which will be promoted through advertising and public relations.
